Happy New Year! Reflecting on our Journey, Looking Ahead to 2025
Hope everyone had a great start to the new year! Looking back, 2024 was an incredible and eye-opening year.
This year kicked off when my cofounder, Vedant, and I had the crazy idea to start a company in an industry we knew nothing about. After meeting with a real estate agent in San Diego who shared insights about his workflow, we decided we wanted to help real estate agents manage their clients better. To validate this, we built a few quick Figma wireframes of a CRM and pitched them at a Techstars Startup Weekend at USC, where we came in 2nd place!
That experience pushed us to go all in. Over the summer, we built out a full-stack CRM. A lot of you already know this story—it didn’t offer anything unique and, honestly, didn’t solve a real problem for our users. So, after months of hard work, we scrapped it. Do I regret spending all that time building it? Kind of. It hurt, but it also taught us a huge lesson: customer discovery first, product second—something our mentors at NYU really pushed us to learn.
Since then, things have shifted. We got into NYU’s Startup Bootcamp, where we spent weeks doing deep customer discovery. We’ve learned so much about how buy-side real estate agents actually work and have been narrowing in on one specific pain point to solve. It finally feels like we’re getting close to something real.
2025 is shaping up to be an important year for us. Vedant and I were accepted into NYU’s Entrepreneurial Institute Sprint Program, a two-week, in-person accelerator starting on January 6th in New York. Looks like we’ll be staying here through the winter break! It’s going to be intense, but by the end of it, we’re confident we’ll have a much clearer direction for our startup.
We’ve learned so much this year, and we’re ready to take those lessons to the next level. Here’s to building, growing, and making 2025 even better. Thank you for following us along on this journey!
